The CCSD in CriptoNoticias: Coverage of the Center Launch

During Devconnect Buenos Aires week, the crypto news outlet CriptoNoticias interviewed Sebastián Mario Civallero, Secretary of Research at UBA, and published a piece on the launch of the Center for Cryptography and Distributed Systems and its relationship with the Ethereum Foundation.

The article highlights the center's purpose: to coordinate research and training in cryptography, distributed systems, and blockchain through a multidisciplinary approach, with participation from the Faculties of Engineering and Exact and Natural Sciences. It also underscores that instruction is technology-agnostic — the content is not oriented toward any particular platform.

The coverage came in the context of Devconnect, the Ethereum Foundation's annual event, which this year took place in Buenos Aires and brought together more than 14,000 attendees from around the world. The center’s visibility in that context reflects the place Argentina is occupying in the global ecosystem of decentralized technologies.

At CCSD, we thank CriptoNoticias for the coverage and the opportunity to share the center's work beyond the university sphere. UBA is our main institutional backing, but engagement with other universities at the national level is already underway. We are at an early stage, with much to build.
